We will have few saints until we completely reject the pseudo psychospirituality that began to infect the Church in the 60s. Look at how it has decimated religious orders. Without a return to traditional Catholic spirituality it is unlikely we will see an increase in true saints.

Living in the world of traditional Catholicism, visiting traditional monasteries and being ministered to by traditional priests, I am confident these times have their share of saints. Not enough of them, of course, but amazingly and thanks to God, a lot of them nevertheless.

I agree. (Just one note: if you live in a country where there is no trace of Tradition - neither traditional monasteries, nor traditional priests - sometimes it can be difficult to keep the virtue of hope intact.)

Concerning "Remberence" as a cultural and personal gift, Pope Benedict XVI pointed out that We have forgotten how to Remember. This is a type of universal Acadie or Sloth. We are several generations into this pan-malaise.

According to spiritual masters like Saint John Chrysostom and Venerable Louis of Granada that is the beginning of the Christian life: the attention one pays to the standards of clothing. Without those twin virtues—modesty and pudicity—there is no virtuous life. (P.S.: Those who say that “only what is in a person's heart matters” deceive others, but first they deceive themselves.)
