Hello Professor Kmita, my name is Michael Carroll (I am English but currently living in Poland). I am a former representative and short-term trustee of the Latin Mass Society of England and Wales. A few years ago, I realised something that had been missed in Vatican II. In short, with the permission of an English Bishop, I codified Vatican II with the three stages of the spiritual life (purgative, illuminative, unitive stages). There can be no doubt that the true hermeneutic of continuity of Vatican II, with 2000 years of Church teaching, is the path of the three ways to deification (the Hermeneutic of Deification). You will appreciate that this is the contemplative path which you have repeatedly mentioned. I have a letter from Bishop Mark Davies (Shrewsbury) stating no doctrinal error was recorded, a validation from Fr. Aidan Nichols that my work is original, and a supportive letter from the Archbishop of Krakow. You will appreciate that contemplation, and especially infused contemplation, manifests mainly in the illuminative stage. I am also in receipt of a unique diagram that demonstrates that the three stages comes down not from the pure Aristotelan route, but through the platonic/neo-platonic route which also includes all the saints and theologians which you mention in your article. Whilst my work is contrary to what American traditionalists are stating, my work has been validated and is correct. The only realistic way to integrate the contemplative path into the Church is through Vatican II (the terminology of which I also cross correlated with the catechism, papal documents, mystical theologians, and particularly John Paul II who requested that this path be incorporated into the Church structures - and taught in all churches - in the Third Millennium). I should also mention that Benedict XVIth also clearly stated that this was the correct way for the Church to move forward, and validated John Paul II's request. I have been trying to contact you for a while. My email is mcarroll3@hotmail.co.uk. Can we speak via email? God bless, Michael
